One owner for new before I bought it from him earlier this year.
Registered in my name as a Historic Vehicle, so tax and MOT exempt
Bought as a non runner as a joint project with my friend who is recovering from a long illness.
The bike was taken apart, cleaned and put back together, only engine work was a decoke and lapping in the valves. The bores and pistons look in good condition.
The bike was given a full service and all fluids replaced. Brakes stripped and checked one caliper piston and brake hose replaced. Carbs stripped, ultrasonically cleaned and balanced.
New seat fitted
Mostly original apart from Monza exhaust , rear shock absorbers , indicators ( Hinckley Triumph) and handlebar mounted front master cylinder.
New tyres and tubes fitted.
New battery.
Please bear in mind that the V50 is a relatively small bike, it is easy to handle, but too small for me at 6' 2" and I have another, larger Guzzi which fits me betterOne owner from new ( before me ) with original dealer stickers and number plate.
Starts on the button from cold and runs well with no smoke or undue rattles. I have done around 50 miles since the rebuild and will be doing more over the next couple of weeks.
All gears select nicely and clutch works smoothly.
The front brake has new EBC pads and master cylinder and to my mind lacks feel but probably due to the new pads needing to bed in. The linked brakes- front left and rear- work really well with good progressive braking.
Original switchgear and all the electrics work !, healthy charge showing 13. 5 V when running
