As far as I know the bike was first registered in the UK in 1975 with the current frame and engine numbers. The bike is a B1 but replicates an A1 from the time of it’s restoration by the previous owner in 2009. The restoration included a full engine re-build and comes with a multitude of receipts, many from Z Power. I purchased the bike from Team Roberts in Doncaster who I was led to believe had a personal relationship with the restorer. The bike has no faults, mechanical defects, starts first time every time and provides a faultless ride.
The condition of the bike is extremely good and for the price its being offered to the market at I can’t imagine there’s a cleaner example of this iconic machine.
I can provide many detailed photos and a video clip of the bike being started from cold and running smoothly on tick over once warm. Alternatively, I can face time live for any serious buyers. I have only covered 500 sunshine miles since my purchase in 2021.
I’d happily keep the bike but with 3 other bikes in the garage space is tight & I simple don’t use it enough. The bike has been meticulously restored by the previous owner in 2009 and in addition to spending a small fortune on it’s restoration must have spend an incredible amount of painstaking time. Much of the work is visible in its current condition but the current mileage and sound is testament to the engine restoration that we can’t view.
The bike is simply stunning! But be warned it never fails to attract a crowd.
