Description

To not waste anyones time this car has developed a headgasket leak which is only noticeable on boost, under load it forces coolant out the overflow.
Due to this I took it off the road prior to mot with the intentions of fixing up but have other things to focus on.

Had a pre mot check carried out only a day prior to the headgasket issue and the garage said the only issue was with a rear brake line bracket missing and it needing a cat. I asked if the rust would be a problem and was told it’s still structurally sound at lifting/ mounting points so would be an advisory at most. This was 4 days before the mot was to run out.

Car was resprayed 4 years ago and undercoated but being honest they chucked a load of fibreglass at it so the sills are going, small bubbling around the arches, inner arches and turrets are actually reasonable and did a temporary treatment of them to stop it getting worse. Front bumper bar is completely rotten though.

Engine is built with nitrated crank, sti rods and forged pistons with sti top mount, mapped by scooby clinic with dyno sheet and invoice.

While at scooby clinic it got a perrin short ram intake, gfb+ adjustable bov and a genuine maf prior to the map. Also had a new thermostat and coolant flush. Spent a total of £1800.

I have a selection of brand new parts available that cost close to £1500 and can be sold with the car for £4000 together, consisting of:
2x 5L bottles of genuine subaru super coolant
5L Millers 75w-90 transmission oil
5L Millers 10w-40 fully synthetic engine oil
Mishimoto alloy radiator
M2 motorsport silicone hose kit
Rcm black series water pump
Rcm cosworth timing belt kit and pulley upgrade (was on a long wait time for this)
Rcm samco top mount intercooler hoses
Rcm cylinder 4 cooling mod kit
Rcm billet timing belt guide
And a few other bits like sump bung, radiator caps, oil filter and timing locker tools for carrying out the belt change. I bought this car after owning a 370z, the respray, forged engine, factory prodrive pack and the sound were the main selling points for me. The car was really enjoyable to drive and even returned 28mpg on long runs. Unfortunately the engine build used an oem headgasket. The rusty sills that were hidden by fibre glass were a great shame to find months after purchase as the turrets are in much better condition than most i have seen. I bought a welder ready to do it myself but it may be another year until I can get round to it so I would rather move it on to free up space.
