Description

This is the 1970's joint development between Mercedes and Peugeot.

Designated as the Peugeot P4, but underpinned by 90% Mercedes G Wagon parts.
Runs with a normally aspirated 2. 5 litre diesel, 5 speed box (4 forward, 1 reverse), 4 wheel drive optional, high/ low ratio, diff lock.

Road registered on a UK plate, with classic car status, so no MOT, free tax - and also it's considered CAZ compliant

The axle(s) ratios have been upgraded to give this a fair top speed and a quieter ride. It now performs much like a modern day car, but still with the 1980's looks.

Recently serviced by an experienced military vehicle garage - brakes and clutch refreshed, oil and full fluid change. We have added extra sound proofing to keep the road noise down. All parts for this are readily available through the internet and surprisingly cheap. Anything 'militarily specific' I probably have on the shelf, or can source through my network of French suppliers.

Dimensions are very similar to the Land Rover 90, width, length, height, and only weighs in at 1. 7 tons. This makes the vehicle very capable off road, and should fit in your garage easily.

Sitting on genuine G Wagon alloys, steel wheels are available under separate negotiation.

It is fitted with bench seats at the rear, able to hold an extra x4 adults. The vinyl roof that folds down easily, doors come off and windscreen can fold onto bonnet to make a great 'convertible'.

There really isn't anything concerning about this vehicle, so get in it and drive off with no worries about corrosion, reliability, electrics etc. A really nice example, and as said before, quiet and 'sprightly'.

If this is 'too civilianised' for your taste we can add a military 'upgrade package' under sperate negotiation, or choose another from our stock of recently released P4 military models, all at sensible prices. Developed in the late 1970's for sale in the middle east, sold on the German market as the Mercedes G Wagon, but also sold in France as the P4. French sales were poor, and all residual petrol engines were replaced by the common Peugeot 2. 5L engine as used in the UK in the UMM and some LDV / Ford Transit vans. French military releases were rare as they were mostly returned to Germany as 'surpluss'. Therefore very rare on the continent and the UK, but helpfully utilises all the readily available G Wagon parts, or the cheaper Peugeot equivalent. Therefore rapidly rising in price in Europe and now the UK...
