Description
These very attractive Rover 12 Sports tourers were built in Alluminium by AP aircraft factory that built Spitfires for the RAF . Only 200 were made and 40 are believed to have survived . Capable of 70 mph and handling well . The cutaway doors are very VDP like . This car has always lived in Dorset . Overall in very nice " mature" conditionh the leather seats are original in lovely patinated condition with a few bits of stitching that could be improved . What appears to be the original hood, Excellent set of side screens and full tonneau cover . The hood has obviously not been used much and it has shrunk a little . I gather that it can be strttched by wetting and heating it to soften it . It stowes away neatly with the side screens in a boot compartment , giving the attractive disapearing hood apearance. 4 speed gearbox . Free wheel device. . Running and drivind well . Sweet engine with good oil pressure . No rattles or smoke. Everything works even the Trafficators . Excellent underneath ith no rust or corrosionINcredible history file with original buff log book . One owner since 1969 ! A lage number of invoices going right back to 1955 make interesting reading . Lots of uld MOTs only 20, 000 miles in the last 55 years . Original owners manual and parts catalogues .
