1992 Mercedes 300CE with 3 previous owners. Registered on 5th May 1992 by Mercedes Croydon before being purchased by John Sullivan, writer of various TV comedy series including 'Only Fools & Horses', who kept the car until January 2004. There was one other owner before I bought the car in March 2011.
The car has a current MOT until March 2025 and all past MOTs/ SORNs are present except for a couple from the 90's.
11 main dealer stamps in the service book until March 2011 at 54, 415 miles from which time it has been maintained by myself and various specialist garages. Most recent work being the replacement of plugs, leads, distributor cap and coil (all Bosch) followed by mixture adj on a 1980's Mercedes diagnostic with the right plug. Oil and filter changed every year. Having sold my previous car rather quicker than anticipated I bought a cheap 190e on Ebay and was so impressed I decided to upgrade, hence the 300CE. The car is in good condition all round, all windows, sun roof and butlers work, although the air con has never blown cold. The rear window is not delaminating, as most are, and the interior is excellent. The only negatives are a scratch approximately 5" long on the nearside rear quarter inflicted by a disappearing cyclist and a very small blister on the offside rear arch (see photos). The latest MOT had an advisory for rust on the nearside floorpan but it appears only surface. Altogether a very good example.
