Description
Yamaha TZR 250 1KT, 1986, Power Valve. The bike was imported in 2017 (NOVA Records Present) and was kept as part of a private collection where it was restored, it was then purchased from Auction in 2022 after the previous owner passed away, very light touch restoration by way of cleaning the fuel system, exhausts, a new set of Tyres due to age, and full replacement of all fluids and filters was carried out, the bike has been on the road since this time, with the current MOT due to expire at the end of this month, but will happily put a new one on it. The bike has few age related marks as would be expected, but generally in very good overall condition. As far as i am aware, all fairings are genuine and original, with the exception of the tail tidy, this did not come with the bike, the fixings are genuine Yamaha, I purchased the tail tidy on line from holland, and it does require some attention if was to be a show bike, I do also have a Plastic one molded from an original that would require prepping and painting. There has been a repair made to one of the "wings" on the front fairing, this was how it was when purchased, I have intended to have this repaired more professionally but with house move and Ill health, it's not been a priority, again, I have both a left and right winglet in plastic, to be prepped for painting, these I was going to use as sacrificial to preserve the originals. The bike is dry stored and is started regularly. I bought this bike to make me smile, and it certainly did do that, having ridden all my adult life, I missed the early days of the 2-stroke buzz i used to get, having been on 4-strokes for so many years and when this came up it just had to happen, riding it for the first time, shifting through the power band certainly had me giggling like a teenager inside my helmet, there are several around for sale, but not many i have seen in this condition or color scheme, it really does stand out and always draws a crowd and triggers people's teenage memory banks. If it wasn't for worsening Arthritis, it would not be for sale, it needs (and loves) to be ridden.
