AJS 500 model 20 1954
This machine is in great original condition , with much of its original paint work and superb patination. It has been with its current owner for nearly ten years, it has proved a reliable machine and first time starter, the AJS benefits from Thorspark electronic ignition.
The motorcycle is entirely authentic for its year including the biscuit tin front hub , only fitted on the 54 models. The Carb has however been upgraded to an Amal monobloc to improve tickover
The Electric system works fine , the dynamo charges and the correct Altette horn is fitted.
The machine still carries its original registration which is transferable.
Chrome on rear wheel rim is good , front rim has some deterioration , exhaust pipes are in good order with some slight pitting
Plenty of documentation and current V5 in owners name . Bike has been regularly started but not used for about twelve months , may require slight recommission.
Current Owner reducing collection , has always been a cherished and well cared for machine
