Here is a chance to own a rare piece of Toyota history – the 1977 Corolla KE35 Coupé Deluxe.
This elegant 2-door coupe was originally sold in Austria, later kept in Germany, and I am only the third owner. In 2020 I began a full restoration project, determined to keep the car as original and authentic as possible.
The body was stripped, rust removed, dents pulled, and repainted in the correct 1970s Toyota yellow – with no filler used.
The 1. 2-litre engine and mechanicals were fully serviced with genuine Toyota parts, including the distributor and carburetor. It now runs smoothly and reliably.
The interior was already in excellent shape, so it received only a deep clean and refresh.
New rubber seals were fitted, and where rare trim pieces were missing, they were carefully recreated with 3D printing to match the originals.
The car comes with period paperwork: original Toyota manuals, service invoices, and TÜV records (last inspection 2008 at 270, 000 km – the car now shows approx. 290, 000 km). This KE35 drives beautifully, looks stunning, and has a wonderful history. Classic Japanese cars from the 1970s are rapidly rising in value, and coupes like this are especially hard to find in such honest condition.
