Very reluctantly have decided to sell my beloved and very well cared for Scirocco mk2. It's an incredible car which I have owned for nearly 10 years now and it has never let me down. Runs beautifully and without issue, will work as a daily driver with no problem. I have driven it all over the country, to Lands End and up to Scotland - I did a 500 mile round trip just the other week.
I have done a huge amount of work while it's been in my care. And it's had a full body restoration and respray. Also a new fuel tank and filler neck, custom stainless steel exhaust through to the manifold, new brakes all round, radiator. Over £10k spent and it shows.

Re the restoration, in 2018 a van reversed into my passenger side, it was slow and caused a small amount of damage but across two panels. Given the age it would be difficult to paint a match and therefore required a respray. This made the cost equal to what the car was insured for so it was a financial write off. Thankfully I had paid for salvage retention so kept the car and used the payout to have a full restoration. The car was repaired, all other areas of rust fixed and a respray was done making the car good as new.
The car is in incredible condition and must be seen. Interior is perfect and the dash has no cracking as many have. All the glass bar the windscreen is original and still has the factory etched reg number on each piece. Lovely touch.
We had a child 10 months ago and I no longer have the time to drive and look after the car and don't have garage space to keep it safe from bad parking on the street.
Needs a loving home. I am gutted to have to sell it knowing what a truly stunning and reliable car it is. I get guaranteed comments everytime I drive it and has been a very hard decision to make. The car is located in North London but I could potentially drive an hour out for mileage costs to meet any serious buyers. These cars are becoming rarer and will only appreciate. It will also be classed as Historic and then Tax, MOT AND ULEZ free in 5 years, August 2030.
