When the first R107 rolled off the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen in 1971, no one probably imagined its market career would last 18 years!
Yet, it was such a versatile and successful car that it sold well everywhere it appeared.
It successfully continued the idea with its predecessor (the W113 "Pagode") – a comfortable convertible with a sporty edge.
Over its long history, it underwent numerous changes and improvements, either introduced by Mercedes engineers themselves or required by the specific regulations of the markets where the R107 was sold.
The 380SL version is equipped with a V8 engine code M116, resistant to all the rigors of operation.

Vehicle condition and equipment:
The presented Mercedes was imported to Poland from the United States. Immediately after purchase, it underwent a series of cosmetic repairs, which included:
– bodywork repairs
– new paintwork, matching the original color
– new roof trim
– restoration of the wooden interior elements
Of course, the mechanical inspection was not forgotten.
The following repairs were performed as part of the service:
– suspension service
– braking system service
– steering system service
– filter and oil service
All this meant that the Mercedes was ready to confidently cover the miles.
A test of its performance was its participation in the 2022 Classic Tour rally, during which it traveled to Croatia and back.
This demonstrated how well it performs on long holiday routes.
The interior, although preserved in very good condition, has some imperfections, such as several small cracks in the dashboard cowl and a non-functioning passenger window button.
