Description
A rare opportunity to own a piece of Lotus history. This 1983 Lotus Esprit Turbo was previously owned by David Wickins, the businessman who rescued Lotus Cars in the early 1980s.
Comes with history file, documentation, and provenance confirming Wickins’ ownership.
The Esprit Turbo is already an appreciating classic, but this example’s direct link to Lotus’ saviour makes it truly one-of-a-kind. Perfect for serious collectors, marque enthusiasts, or those seeking a show-stopping ’80s supercar.
This is a unique Lotus Esprit. Yes its had some paint and repairs but only to take it back to its near to original condition as left the factory and then given to the new MD and Chairman of Lotus David Wickins in 1983. There is not another car / Lotus esprit like this one.
It has many unique qualities..
A unique colour in British racing green and black underside. This was a special request from David Wickins.
And inside everything is green! Leather seats, carpet, headlining, another special request. I guess he liked green.
Also has Air conditioning that works!
I have also obtained the Certificate of Provenance that also confirms it was David Wickins car.
The documents include as well as the provenance certificate, All old M. O. Ts, service book full of (mainly) Bell & Colvill Lotus stamps up to 20, 000 miles, assorted bills and invoices and the original owner’s manual.
Also a document of the restoration work carried out by the previous owner
Very Low millage! 32000 from new!So I looking to sell this unique car, hopefully to someone who will love it and use it. I was originally planning to take it to lots of car shows but I just haven't had the time to commit. The shows I have taken it to, its gets a lot of attention!
Its now M. O. T exempt, the last Mot was done in 2023 Passed straight through, and I haven't done many miles since.
