R80 R100 G/ S (1065cc) SWT - HPN Rallye Bike
Imported from Germany by the previous owner
SWT specialise in building Rallye BMWs and built this bike in - 2014. The bike has been built using the very best components from HPN, Touratech and many one off parts as shown in pictures.
The bike is an absolute pleasure to ride on and off road. This is a very capable motorcycle and would make a superb travel enduro or RTW expedition bike.
Spec details
Reinforced Frame, including strengthening around the swingarm, steering head and truss.
Conversion to central spring by SWT and fitted with a WILBERS shock absorber with external reservoir and external hydraulic spring preload, high and low speed adjustment.
The swingarm is from a BMW R 1100 - 1150 with a rear wheel hub on which the 17" rim of a BMW R 80 - 100 R / GS is spoked. Of course, disc brakes are used here! The rear frame has also been adapted to the increased demands.
The front forks are of Marzocchi Shiver construction with upgraded Cartridge installed from HH Racetech, The original forks were from a BMW HP2 enduro.
The front wheel comes from a BMW R 100 GS and is fitted with an HE brake. The yokes SWT milled and black anodised especially for this project.
The engine has been completely rebuilt, upgraded crankshaft, lightened by 1. 5kg and finely balanced. 98mm Mahle cylinder, light roll tappets, light valve plates. One piece rocker arm blocks. New valves, guides, A 324 degree Schleicher camshaft.
Front engine cover in carbon fibre.
Dash is a touratech IMO -100 R300 full computer.
Dual ignition upgrade from Silent Hektik .
Upgraded 400w Silent Hektik alternator.
Original HPN rally sport fairing, with windshield. Original HPN tank with 43 litre capacity and stainless quick release fittings.
The main stand and side stand are made of stainless steel.
A UFO rear mudguard provides protection against splashing.
The exhaust is a Siebenrock SGS2 silencer system, which is manufactured by SR -Racing.
KTM factory front fender made from carbon fibre supplied by Lyndon Poskitt racing (Impossible to find and very very expensive!!
High level front mudguard included in the sale (See picture with Lyndon Poskitt )
Touratech Zega Aluminium panniers and pannier brackets included.
Bmw Nav 6 unit included.
Denali lights fitted to engine bars, 2 settings spotlights
From 26th Jan 2024 During my ownership the bike has had the following work, everything possible has been checked or replaced if needed.
Front forks serviced new skf seals and bushes by reactive at york.
Rear shock fully serviced by reactive at york.
Full gearbox rebuild by Moorespeed racing all new bearings and seals, new output shaft with circlip installed.(£849), 1200 miles completed since this full re build.
Carbs sonic cleaned and rebuilt with new seals diaphrams float bowl gaskets and jets
New inlet rubbers and airbox rubbers plus stainless fittings
New fuel filters.
New magnetic oil and gearbox plugs
New led rear brake light (safety)
All new oils and filters for the first 200 miles after purchase then changed again, I have done approximately 1500 miles on the bike and 1200 on the rebuilt gearbox .
Rear driveshaft removed checked/ greased new final drive support bearing upgrade fitted.
Starter motor New from motorworks replaced with Toyota spec the best starter available(£376)
Front brake master cylinder rebuilt, new brake caliper pistons and seals, new front pads, motul 600 fluid.
New rear brake pads, motul 600 fluid.
New tyres TKC 70 tubless tyres fitted 2024
Denali lights fitted to engine bars, 2 settings spotlights (£600)
Also included with the sale are all the spares and service parts I have for the bike (pads oils filters gaskets etc)
The bike is for sale simply due to the fact that it is not being used.

The bike has been occasionally ridden locally during this year and the last event was the colombres road rally in the picos during September 2024, the bike ran and performed faultlessly as well as getting a great deal of attention.
I have 2 folders of comprehensive documentation including pictures of the bike build and German tuv certificates
The bike needs nothing at all and is ready for whatever its new owner is looking to use it for .
The bike has a registration date of 26-08-1980 so is eligible for many different events,
