Beautiful Austin-Healey 3. 0 MK1, a car prepared in the UK by John Chatham, a well-known tuner of Austin-Healey, 230 HP, all-aluminium coachwork, total weight 850 kg. The car is pristine with a hard top built specifically for this model, equipped with a roll bar and FIA spec. The car is part of a private collection of an enthusiast who has sadly passed away. The car cost almost €100, 000 and is now offered at an incredible price. The car raced in the 1990s in many events including the Targa Florio in Sicily. Documents ready and the car ready to use, visible near Milan, Italy. Vehicle sent to England for preparation by specialist John Chatham. Modification of the distributor shaft (by Buratto) to prevent distributor shaft seizing, special lubrication was performed; the Brits copied it. Aluminium cylinder head, Weber carburettor, aluminium wheel arches, valves etc… 4 discs in FIA spec. Competes in the Targa Florio, even with John. Modification with Swelch; lamellae-type limited-slip differential, rear springs with one leaf removed to soften the rear. Track times rival Ferrari GTOs. Titanium rods and steel crankshaft. The engine block not swapped, still iron cast. It will have 220-230 horsepower, for 850 kg. Unique feature: lightened hard top (John), but it arrived wrong, it was the 2+2 one. They modified it, and thus it has a different and sleeker line than the correct one; it is “wrong” but more beautiful.
