Selling my beloved 1986 944 turbo, soon to be MOT, Tax and Ulez exempt.
Good spec including sport seats, ac, central locking, electric sun roof, scripted door handles etc
Had a mayor service done recently including:
- timing and balance belts, water pump, thermostats…
- Front engine oil seals
- F9T Sport ECU supplied by Lindsey racing ( running oem chip at the moment but also have a Racing / Performance chip available )
- Power steering lines
- Throttle position sensor
- Both crankshaft position sensors ( reference sensors)
- K&N air filter
- Engine Oil and filter
- Lindsey racing silicone intake J boot
- Forge blow off valve ( can put it back to the oem recirculating valve )
- DME temperature sensor
- New brakes all around
- New tyres all around on Staggered set of ATS Apollo ll ( can put back to oem wheels got a few different options to be negotiated )
- Lowering spring at the front
- Boost gauge
- Radiator fan temp switch
- Had both inner and outer sills done previously both sides
- New coolant hoses
- Lindsey racing boost enhancer
- braided Lindsey racing fuel lines ( to be installed )
As expected for a car this age it will need some tlc as I reflected it on the price. Main things to be looked at are : some rust under the battery tray ( non structural ) but will need to get it sorted ( can provide a complete panel ) and has some rust on the bottom of passenger side wing ( also got a panel to repair it). When driving on motorways sometimes you can hear a whine from the drivetrain, I haven’t investigated but sounds like a bearing somewhere is not happy at the rear, car drives completely fine and pulls really well no grinding in any gears and all engage perfectly, I done around 3k miles on it recently and no issues at all. Hand brake not working, might just need adjustment ( can provide a new one if needed ) and paint in some places are not perfect so could do with a good polish. Car is showing 162k miles but odometer hasn’t worked for a few years so it’s most likely to be at around 175k now, sadly previous owner misplaced service history so not much, I can provide invoices for all work carried out during my ownership. Exhaust will most likely be put back to stock if wanted price not met.
944 turbo prices keeps raising as all turbocharged classic Porsches! Perfect opportunity to acquire one!
