Description
The LR has had a boots up resto.
I swapped the engine out for a 300TDI with about 80k. It still has the original gearbox and overdrive and sounds great.
New:
Galv chassis, steering gear including new stearing box, column and nice wooden steering wheel, bulkheads and floor pans.
Tub has been stripped and repaired. All the original panels where squared up and painted. New doors fitted old one too rotten to repair. Brakes swivels shocks and parabolic springs fitted.
New black canvas tilt, black painted original wheels and the light green paintwork look amazing.
The LR is dry stored ans can be viewed and test driven. I will put serious potential buyers in touch with the restorer who will talk through the whole process. BINK as we call it has been in the family about 15 years. I originally used it for country pursuits and green lanes. My son used it to shoe horses out of for a few months and we moved to our current home in it over a few weekends a true all rounder.
As the years took over and it deteriorated like they all do, I decided to have it restored.
However it’s now too nice to run off road through overgrown byways and I’m not a stand at a show with a polishing rag in hand type of bloke so I’ve made the hard decision to sell.
