The Peugeot 205 1. 9 GTI doesn’t need an introduction, people know these are one of the iconic ‘ Hot Hatches’ if not ‘THE Hot Hatch! These were always a fantastic car to drive and have a timeless design but looking at one and driving on today comparing them to modern car makes them feel even more special.
Being the type of car these are finding a good one with reasonable miles is becoming difficult which is why this one stands out, not only has it only had 4 previous owners it has also only covered 47k miles from new and to top it off it’s in one of the most sought after colours.
Bought new in November 91 the first owner kept the car for 3 years and then it stayed with the second owner for the next 16 years!
3rd owner had the car for 7 years and then the last two owners for a couple of years each , one of them carried out recommission/ refresh with ‘Ecosse Peugeot specialist’ all detailed within the comprehensive history file.
The car has been exceptionally well looked after throughout and you can really tell by driving the car, whilst these are great cars they can often feel ‘tired’ but not this one , the steering is direct , the engine pulls like a train, the ride is compliant without any knocks or bangs , needless to say the handling is superb and the gear change is the best I have used in one of these.
Interior has little wear anywhere , the seats are in nice original condition , the seams are still nice and tight.
It has just sailed through its MOT and is ready to go.
