Description
Dec 2016 Morgan 3 Wheeler. In Brooklands green with Black leather interior. This is the last chance to secure a piece of eccentric British motoring history before it gets tucked up until spring. I have its replacement coming and ideally would like to move the three wheeler on before it arrives so have priced it very competitively, someone will be getting a very well sorted and specified Morgan three wheeler.
The registration is now back on the original SR66 JOU. The plate ODD 177P has been taken off and is not included in the sale.
22067 miles
Registered December 2016 to beat the Euro 3 cut-off but not delivered to the original owner until end-Nov 2017.
Stage 2 upgrade (air filter, exhausts, high lift cams, ECU reflash). New chassis and complete factory rebuild, 2019. Camchest rebuilt 2020. Top of the line adjustable Ohlins springs/ shock absorbers. Phil Bleazey Centa coupling upgrade. Custom Superspoke clear view wheel. Immobiliser and battery isolator. Vintage bonnet catches. Brass wheel nuts. Photographic build record. Luggage rack. Tonneau/ full outdoor covers. Full windscreen. Storage pockets. Rear mudguard. Blockley tyres.
The cost of the Morgan tuning, suspension and Bleazey work would easily run to £5000 plus and they are all hugely beneficial worthwhile additions.
This car was taken by its intrepid first owner all the way to the top of Norway with the soul purpose of being able to play the most northerly golf course in the world (the golf clubs took the place of a passenger) It did this and other equally crazy trips without drama so any niggles were ironed out early on. In the time I’ve had it I’ve shamefully only managed 1800 miles.
The M3W is quite simply the most characterful car you will ever own. Every journey is memorable. People have stopped when driving past the house when I’m cleaning it and had a full on conversation. I also guarantee anywhere you go you will end up chatting to all manner of people who want to know about it or have memories of relatives that owned an original from the 1930’s.
It has its shortcomings but the moment the V twin fires up you’ll forgive it for destroying the ice caps. I adore having it but quite simply don’t use it enough. It only comes out once a month to give it a run and check all is well. Currently Sorned but will come with full years MOT, Service history.
