1. Galv. chassis.
2. Front drum brakes are replaced with series 3 disc brakes and servo.
3. Original flat back Cab Top is replaced with period Round back Cab Top. Original bulk head is replaced with new period correct bulk head.
4. Galvanized doors.
Negative Earth
Original PTOs, front and back, and Capstan winch. Period correct main lights, after-market small lights.
1959 Series 2 export truck cab, first time road registration 1962 as a service truck at Fornebu airport Oslo/ Norway. Ownership then passed on to Viking Road Services from Skandinavisk Godssentralen, before being sold to private owners. A long list of owners, until the car failed its MOT and lost its registration in 1979.
6 year restoration by two Land Rover enthusiasts- nuts and bolts restoration and refurbishment. This is not a "Show Car" - but the next best thing, excellent finish, correct mods, good running engine - lots of Sunday fun.
Will Export, buyer must collect/ arrange transport. More fun than the Series 2 pick up is hard to find... Heads will turn.
