Description
This is our 1989 Alfa Romeo S3 QV that has been in the family for 25 years. It was bought in Dubai in 2001 then we imported it to the UK in 2006. In Dubai it was a third car only used on special days and since being in the UK it has mostly been SORN'd and dry covered & stored in the garage particularly since a family passing in 2014. It was MOT'd in 2018 when it had multiple works, including new rear exhaust section & box, bushes & bearings plus new speedo cable & pulse generator, and now more recently at the end of September 2025 for which it had a new differential pinion seal, new air & fuel filters and spark plugs.
It comes with a document file of maintenance and works done when it was in Dubai and all the UK import documentation.
Whilst the mileage on these old classics can be difficult to be sure of, the sound of the tight engine and strength of the gearbox on this one reassures us that it is still young!
Whilst the engine, gearbox, chassis & running gear are all in very good to excellent condition the interior shows it age. To bring to tip top condition it would need new door cards, a new soft top hood, new red binded carpet in the boot, new digital clock, air conditioning re-gas and new electric aerial on the rear. The rear wheel bearings and a minor oil leak are advisories listed on the MOT.
These cars are absolute classics and all Alfa Romeo classics like to be revved which brings that unmistakeable Alfa Romeo noise! These are true Italian sports cars!
The nearest airport is Aberdeen International (ABZ) and nearest train station is Aberdeen or Inverurie. Other than being available for viewing in Aberdeenshire it may be available for viewing in the Banbury area from time to time.
This 1989 QV model has air conditioning, electric windows, the pepperpot alloys, hard top and the Bosch fuel injected twin cam engine. This was our Fathers favourite toy hence why it has been untouched and dry stored for so many years.
