Regretfully offered for sale is my 1969 Morris Minor Traveller 1000. I unfortunately need to free up some cash for an unexpected MOT bill on another car and a new boiler, or I wouldn't be selling.
First things first, the paintwork is very poor. If you're looking for a show car, this is not it. Its very flat and from a distance looks like velvet. There's marks and blemishes on most panels. To me it adds to the charm, its only original once right?!
If you're still interested... the metal appears structurally sound. The woodwork in the most part is great. I've filled a small hole near the passenger door with wood filler and gone over the entire wood with treatment. There's some soft wood on the passenger barn door which I've put hardener on. The doors are somewhat rickety and would benefit from a refurb or replacement.
Mechanically its great. Fires up eagerly and settles into to a nice idle off choke. Runs and drives great. If I'm being fussy, it pulls a little to the passenger side under heavy braking. Its showing roughly 99k on the odometer.
Interior is rather clean with nicely trimmed seats. I broke the lever off the heater annoyingly, but it still works. All lights, gauges and wipers working.
All in all a nice genuine honest car what you could use every day. I would (and was intending on) keeping it as is as i think it looks great, but you could repaint and do it up. I'm only selling to free some cash up and genuinely really like it. With that being said, I'm not in a desperate rush so wont entertain stupid offers.
I'd consider a cheap px for something cool, but no swaps as the main point of selling is to get some money back in.
Its taxed and insured so test drives welcome. I'm happy to get more photos and videos for interested parties. Collection only (I may be able to assist with very local delivery mind).
