1981 Mercedes 280 SL which I have owned for the last 8+ years
Thistle green with beige Karo interior
Tax and MOT exempt. Historic status updated on V5C.
Service history with previous receipts etc
Car is registered in my name. I have the V5C and history. Car is Hpi clear.
£1400 on a major service just completed by HA Lock including 6 x new fuel injectors. Fuel pump, hoses, Oil and filter change, New battery etc. Please see invoice for details.
If you know about Mercedes Benz. The specialist who personally worked on the car is 84 years old and renowned expert in the older Mercedes hence my sending the car to him.
The car drives without fault. Starts first time. Everytime!
During my ownership. I have have owned the car.
I had a full body repaint along with replacement genuine Mercedes Benz bumpers etc.
Car also comes with the matching hard top worth £2000+ as its rust free as it's always been garaged since I've owned it.
No rust in the floors, sills, arches or bulkhead as a result of it being stored away from the elements. and previous restoration work and repaint.
Car also comes with a spare green hood and frame included in the sale circa £600 plus.
The original hood is in good condition. Colour brown but wanted a green one to match the exterior.
Just felt it looked more cohesive colour wise with a dark green hood.
Interior Karo fabric and drivers head rest will need a re-trim at some point and is a mini project for the new owner if they wish it just enjoy as is.
The chrome trims for the seat belts are included and they clip on. I haven't had a chance to do so and have left them off for the time being.
I took it out yesterday but it started raining so had to put it away before it got wet!! So you can tell how much I love the car!
Hopefully from the pictures you can see the car is in good condition and a nice daily driver if you wanted to use it that way.
I only ever used the car in the summer months and never in the rain.
Car is located in the Bedford MK44 area if you wanted to view or test drive.
The just come back from the specialist and was raving about how nicely the car drove which is nice to hear from someone with 60 years of experience with these cars.
Only reason I am selling it to buy another R107.
