1955 Humber Pig MKII original FFW Radio Truck currently mid way through restoration. Sadly after owning for 15 years, I haven’t got a mass of work done, and the way things are going the future looks the same, and now I need the space. The work I have done is:
New spark plugs
All new oils all round
Rebuilt hydraulic hatch cylinders (need refitting)
New floor
New drivers seat
New steering wheel
New exhaust
Rebuilt brake master cylinder (finished but unfitted due to time, see photos. So the vehicle has NO BRAKES at the moment)
Period spotlight (not wired in)
All new hand made mesh light covers
New (old stock) glass lights
Completely sanded down to bare metal, 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of top coat
I have also removed the double skin on the inside to reduce excess weight and better control.
The vehicle also comes with:
Approximately £1000 worth of Complete radio set and all associated items plus paper work which can be seen in the photos.
It also Comes with approximately £1500 worth spares, from a dashboard to a new clutch, exhaust manifold. It also has the original paper work the vehicle including a framed piece of its history, from it time at the suizs crisis to Northern Ireland.
Very original and solid. The B60 runs beautifully (see video) All the greasing points have been constantly greased and the underside coated with oil, it is very solid underneath. It drove extremely well, no weird noises or excessive whining, the back axel is as far as I know very good, however hasn’t been on the road in a decade, but has been moved in the driveway through all gears periodically, which are all good and so is the clutch. Tyres are in good condition, lots of tread, there is the usual cracking but still solid, and comes with a spare
This is my third one and mechanically the best, so sensible offers only. It would be an excellent finishing project with all the hard work done. * Please note this will need to be trailered*, so take that into consideration, many thanks.
