The car is begrudgingly up for sale due to a loss of storage and reduction of my collection. Many thousands have been spent over the years in maintaining this car since purchase in 2018 including a recent 'Full Engine Rebuild'. The car has a Full service history of 14 stamps along with a ring binder folder of paperwork dating back too 2005. In the last few years, the car has had over £20, 000 spent in both routine and preventative maintenance ensuring many more trouble-free miles. Key works are documented further on.
Exterior condition:
The car presents itself in excellent condition for the age and mileage having recently benefitted from a front end respray to remove a multitude of stonechips. The wheels have also been refurbished and are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4's with excellent tread all round. All the panels are dent free and the panel gaps are all excellent.
The common E39 corrosion areas are all free from rot (Arches, wings, sills and bonnet)
Interior condition:
The interior presents itself in great condition considering the mileage. Most recently, the steering wheel was refurbished by Royal steering wheels in smooth nappa with M stitch. The Caramel Heritage interior has some wear from use however is free from rips, tears and sagging. The switch gear and trim are all in excellent condition and everything works in the car as it should including the sunroof and all seat functions.
Negatives:
- B pillar material is coming away and will need re-covering.
- The driver seat bottom cushion stitching is starting to come away in two corners.
