For sale is a Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA WRC Limited VI, No. 156/ 1000, a true collector’s item from the legendary GC8 generation.

Condition:
Well maintained (annual oil changes, always warmed up before use). Car runs and drives very good, but: paintwork aged (full respray recommended), wheels poor condition, tyres need replacement, rear strut mounts need attention, driver’s window regulator broken inside(inside door), oil pressure gauge shows too high values.
Note: Accident-free status cannot be guaranteed. No accidents during my ownership.
This vehicle is a GC8 WRX Type RA Limited (WRC Package, MY1999) – a factory-built homologation model produced in very limited numbers.
Unlike standard GC8 WRX STI or STI RA models, the Type RA Limited was designed specifically for rally use and weight reduction. Only a small, numbered production run was built, making it significantly rarer than any regular GC8 STI.
Although the STI badge is more widely known, the Type RA Limited is objectively rarer and more collectible, especially in original condition. Its specifications, drivetrain, and equipment codes clearly identify it as a genuine RA Limited / WRC-related model.
This car represents a true rally-bred GC8, aimed at homologation and enthusiasts rather than mass production.
This Subaru is not an everyday car – it is a true driver’s car. Pure, raw and uncompromising, built for driving pleasure. Anyone who has experienced a Type RA knows why these cars have become legends. For me it has always been a weekend car, never driven in winter, carefully stored and maintained. Now I would like to give a new owner the chance to enjoy and preserve an honest piece of Subaru and rally history.

It’s a completely honest car — no unnecessary electronics, no filters, just a direct connection between driver, engine and road. The shorter RA gearbox, the light steering, the turbo punch and the raw Subaru sound make every drive feel special.
Despite being a lightweight RA version, it still has working A/ C and electric windows, so it remains perfectly usable, even on longer drives. The car has always felt incredibly solid and confidence-inspiring, especially because it is completely rust-free and the underbody is in exceptional condition.
What also impressed me is how original the car remained throughout the years. Aside from the Prodrive exhaust and the STI spoiler, it’s exactly how it left Japan. I’ve always appreciated that it was never used on track or for rallying – just careful weekend driving, properly warmed up and cooled down every time.
For me, this is not just a car, but a genuine driver’s machine and a rare WRC Limited model. I am only selling it because I’m moving on to a different project, otherwise I would happily keep it.”
