This car is in great condition inside and out. It was owned by the same person for around 20 years, and has clearly been looked after.
The only issues are as follows:
* It sometimes turns over a few times before starting, which seems to put it into limp mode. If you turn it off and back on again, it's fine.
* The engine management light is on, which the previous owner stated was an oxygen sensor fault. I'm unsure if these issues are related
Other than that, the car is smooth and quiet to drive, and very comfortable. I bought it as a stop-gap whilst I didn't have a car, but it's not economical enough for me to keep long-term, hence the sale. I bought this car because I always wanted to own an E39. I was looking for something more economical, but as I needed a car and it came up locally, I thought "why not". I'm very glad I bought it - it's so quiet, comfortable and effortless. It still feels expensive and modern despite being 25 years old. It's a fantastic car and I'd love to own another one day, but right now I can't justify the fuel economy!
