Description
A 1958 Mercedes 190 SL, imported from Germany about 15 years ago where it had been restored a few years earlier, although it probably came from the American market.
The previous owner has kept it consistently well maintained; mechanically it is in good order, the interior is very nice, while the bodywork/ paint shows a few minor flaws, but not rust — simply wear from use, some parking marks (a small scratch and a small dent), but nothing serious.
The engine is not the original one with which it was born and at the moment it is fitted with a pair of Weber carburettors, but with the car you will also receive the two original Solex carburettors, and also the hardtop.
This Mercedes 190 SL hasn't just had a restoration, but it presents itself very well, and above all, it drives well on the road.
Documents are in order for transfer, the Italian MOT is valid, and it has been registered with ASI; indeed, it holds a CRS (Certificate of Historic Relevance).
We can organise transport if required. For any enquiries, please feel free to send a message, thank you.
Why buy this Mercedes 190 SL? Because it has the flavour of a preserved classic, and perfection is left to those who want to keep the car in the living room, but this jewel deserves to be enjoyed on the road, because there’s always the fear that someone might touch it, look at it, sit inside it, or simply take a photo beside it for fear it will get scratched.
