This stunning RHD 2001 Imola Red BMW Z3 3. 0i Sport is in beautiful condition with perfect unmarked bodywork and in excellent mechanical condition. It was built in Spartanburg USA in 2001 and exported to Japan where it was first registered on 13/ 07/ 2001. I purchased it in October 2023 and it hasn’t been used much at all as both my wife and I struggle to get in and out. We are both in our 80s so it wasn’t the most sensible buy - dreamers at our age!
The vehicle is not barn find, not a restoration project nor has it undergone any restoration. It does not need any restoration work. Japan does not use salt on their roads. It is a genuine very good condition modern collectible car without any signs of the British weather.
The car was imported into the UK and first registered here 12/ 11/ 21. I has been cosseted and I am the second UK owner. Built to Japanese spec including upgraded 18in wheels with 225/ 40ZR18 front and 255/ 35ZR18 rear tyres. The car was also fitted at point of sale with a Pioneer Carrozerria MVH-5100 Bluetooth/ USB/ Radio/ CD head unit for iPod/ iPhone with a sub woofer still in excellent condition. Little information is available on the service history in Japan other than services in 2017 at 79, 500km and 2019 at 87, 300km. The vehicle was exported from Japan on 30/ 11/ 2020 to Car Warehouse, Middlesborough where it was set up to UK spec with the addition of a digital mph speedometer. Car Warehouse pre-inspects cars in Japan and obtains export certificates, of which I have a copy, showing previous mileage in Japan. Japan does not use salt on the roads and the vehicle was treated with Waxoyl to protect against UK weather to maintain it’s condition. The first UK registration 12/ 11/ 2021 prior to sale to it’s first UK owner at 92, 787km on 25/ 11/ 2021 after a full service and PDI. That first owner became unwell and I purchased the car from him on 21/ 10/ 2023 at 96, 474km.
The car has been very well cared for and garaged, only used in the dry and regularly serviced. Despite low mileage since entering the UK, 4 services have been carried out. In addition it has also had a soft top overhaul with new pump and ram, new discs/ pads and pad wear sensors, new rocker gasket, 2 plug changes, new inlet camshaft position and mass airflow sensors and 2 new front 235/ 40ZR18 92Y Continental Sport Contact tyres. It has recently had the front shock absorbers replaced with Sachs original spec units at a cost of £620 and a recent service.
The car currently shows 97, 300km ( 60, 459miles). It has a current MOT to16/ 10/ 2026 with some small advisories that will be sorted before sale.
The car comes with a BMW iCar diagnostics tool.
