Description
MORRIS MINI 1000 * 1 Lady Owner From New - original spec cars are so hard to find.
Standard car.
This car was supplied new by Morpeth Triumph/ Morris dealer Harry Wood on 1st November 1973 to Mrs Murphy for nearly 52 years her only owner. She was then dispatched immediately with 38 miles on her, to North East Rustproofing limited for a full Ziebart treatment at a cost of £40. 70
She was then ran as a daily car, been cared for all her life by Tom Reynolds Motor Engineers of Ashington and Dippie & Richardson Motor Engineers. There are over 60 invoices for all work carried out over the years giving a fascinating insight into running a Mini for over 50 years - everything from minor oil services to new sub frames and engine work, clutches etc over her 97000 miles.
Original dealer rear window sticker, number plates and tartan rug!
The interior is as good as you will see, no splits or holes , and great looking in the rarer burgundy.
Structurally the vehicle is in fine condition, having been regularly undersealed over the years - the sills are solid with no issues. Rear subframe is in great condition.
Body has good even gaps, is again very solid , the paintwork is overall very presentable with only the odd very minor bit of flaking.
Car has been recently serviced and is ready for the new owner to enjoy.
This is a rare opportunity to obtain an amazing Mini 1000 with a huge history and one lady owner from new.
