engine has been TOTALLY reconditioned by Willenhall Engine Centre Ltd in 2023 including reconditioned head, stem seals, rebored, oversized pistons and rings, new bearings, new end seals, new gaskets. It's only done about 1000 miles on reconditioned engine and has had new clutch obviously. This car is ready to drive the length of England without an issue. I will need to post some better pictures for you later on. I'm the second owner and bought it in 2018 from original owners pictured in the last gallery picture. They had dry stored it for 20 years prior to my purchase. It's been dry stored by myself ever since. I am something of a Mk 2 Cortina Expert, and have owned no less than 9 of them over the years. I looked at 14 cortina's nationwide before buying this one, which is the most solid that I've ever seen. This is one of the most original SOLID cortina Mk 2's left on the road. all chassis and jacking points are 100% sound. all the floor is 100% sound. I've fitted inertia belts, new track control arms, new callipers, new pads, new discs, and an aftermarket brake Servo is fitted. It steers, drives, and brakes perfectly. THIS CAR IS UPRATED TO EASILY USE IN MODERN TRAFFIC. Period 'Appliance' wheels are fitted which I think are a huge improvement over standard Rostyles. Period accessory Driver window "galemaster" wind deflector fitted, Mopar lines won't be to everyone's liking, but my period correct accessories can be removed quite easily if you prefer a stock look. Original gearbox, original dynamo, K&N filter fitted, bigger back box fitted, sounds great. bumpers colour coded. professionally painted in 2019 in 2K paint. M. O. T. & TAX exempt. V5 present and correct. Original vinyl seats, headlining good, door cards good, wood trim good, Original radio removed, it now has hands free kit and U. S. B. stereo fitted. Original 1600e side badges changed to suit colour of car, More modern rear view mirror fitted. Dash cam fitted and working and included in sale. It has Jaguar XJ6 door mirrors fitted which are immeasurably better than standard ones and look superb. Updated headlights, Also a time related "Richard Grant" front lower valance properly blended into front wing panels prior to re paint. Good tyres all round. You can Reverse those updates easily at will, but they make for much easier modern motoring I can tell you. It's priced right but I will be open to sensible offers, it's not some patched up import, and you'd be hard pushed to find a nicer one in my opinion. I know these cars inside out and have owned NINE of them over the years, this is one of the most solid and original metalwork I've seen, the only thing that I suspect has been done is the rear wheel arches. totally reconditioned engine has done about 800 miles I think. This car can be collected and driven away, it's road ready and drives beautifully
