This mint series 2 mk2 cortina started of life as a regular 1600 super but has undergone a 2 year bolt and nut restoration transforming it from a plain old boring mk2 cortina into something unique which stands out from the crowd.
specs are as follows:
-Now powered by a fully rebuilt 3lt v6 essex motor with a set of xr6 interceptor carburettors (3x 42dcnf webers) giving you all the power you'd need.
-performance cam and custom built branch and exhaust system producing a symphony of note.
-car runs a 5speed 21r gearbox with a fully rebuilt custom shorten M75 differential.
- car sits on a set of custom built coil overs and camber plates
- brand new braking system to stop you dead in your tracks. from pipes to master cylinder to brake booster imported from Australia. the car has 4way disk brakes with 4 pot hilux callipers upfront and golf gti rear callipers.
-choice of 16" split wheels. original sterns. 8j front and 9j rear with brand new tyres or 17" work vs xx. 8j front and 9j rear with brand new tyres
- all electric items running through relays
- body of the car is absolutely mint. not a spec of rust on the car before the resto. no accident damage and no no body filler used either.
the original colour (amber gold) was used but a little of a metallic finish was added to make it glimmer in the sun.
car is painted with top quality base clear. the undercarriage aswell has been painted the cars colour with base clear.
-original factory fitted black vynl top. still in perfect condition
- all chrome work had been rechromed. all beadings are present and in perfect condition.
-interior was kept all original and is still perfect. only a new carpet was fitted over the original carpet.
- car has a custom built sound system. kenwood media player, with a set of MTX splits in the front and rear of the car aswell as a 10" MTX subwoofer in a custom built box in the boot.
-papers and licence in order
there's way to many things to list on what has been done on the car. literally everything is brand new (even down to the bolts, nuts and washers used) items which could not be found new has been refurbished.
