Description
This is a one off protototype, built and raced from Raymond Nash in 1967/ 1968 and raced in some FIA WSC events 1968, so as 1000km and 500 km Nurburgring, Brands Hatch , Mallory Park , Crystal Palace and many more with some success. The car was found and saved some 25 years ago and completly restored over a period of 20 years, with all major parts , finally sprayed in the original colours from 1968.
It is still a small project, with some minor work to do , so to install the brakes and fit the engine, of course all parts are are present.
Engine is a 1600cc Ford Cosworth , just completly and freshly rebuilt by a German expert (Günter Stellwagen), gearbox is the rare Hewland 5 speed Box , freshly rebuilt as well.
The car comes with huge files and material from the race history in period, all race entry documents and passports in 1968, an old super 8 movie from its first race in Brands Hatch and 1968 1000 km Nurburgring , and some boxes of rare , original and usefull spare parts.
it is a nice car for someone, who looks for an absolutly genuine survivor from FIA runs in the late 1960s. it is even documented with picture and race story in Janosh Wimpffen´s great book WINGED SPORTS CARS & ENDURING INNOVATION
English and German road-registration documents
