• Tilt WheelHere we have for sale a 1987 Buick Electra Estate Wagon, fitted with a 5. 0 V8 and smooth 4-speed automatic gearbox. The car was imported into the UK in April 1996 by its long-term owner, who owned the car until June 2021 when my grandfather purchased it. I’m advertising the car on his behalf as he requires some assistance with modern technology nowadays.
During his ownership it’s been used occasionally to local car events, with regular starts and short drives to keep everything moving. Over the past 4 years it’s been looked after with some new parts fitted that include:
• New battery (July ‘24)
• New carpets throughout (2024)
• New power steering pump + new drive & auxiliary belts (Apr ‘25)
• New windscreen (Sept ‘25) — replaced due to minor corner de-lamination, purely to tidy up the look
It’s having and MOT retest tomorrow (Monday 8th December) following a few minor things that have now been sorted, so it will be sold with a fresh 12-month MOT (to Dec ‘26).
Overall, this Electra is a solid, very presentable, and true-to-original example with great character and presence. It’s not a concours car, but a clean, unmolested example. There can’t be many if not any of these exact models in the UK!? Wherever it goes, it always gets attention and sparks conversations for just being different and something you don’t see every day. It also becomes tax and MOT exempt in just a few years, which is a nice added bonus. The car also comes with the owner’s information folder and original owner’s manual.
We’ll be sad to see it go, but it’s time for a new owner to love and enjoy it!
