Description
The 1990 Mercedes 190E 2. 0 Automatic is a refined compact executive sedan from the W201 series, known for its durability and smooth ride. Powered by a 2. 0-liter inline-four paired with a 4-speed automatic, it delivers balanced performance and comfort. Its classic boxy design, solid build quality, and rear-wheel-drive handling make it a timeless choice. The 190E remains respected for reliability, understated elegance, and Mercedes’ hallmark engineering.
For sale is my 1990 Mercedes 190E 2. 0 Automatic in black. This is a very high spec example, featuring; full leather interior, 4 electric windows, an electric sunroof, cruise control, electric driver's seat, alloy wheels, electric aerial, a centre arm rest, rear spoiler and more. Having only 2 previous owners and covered 81600 miles, fully backed up by a highly documented service history, this car is arguably one of the best examples.
The exterior of the car is finished in metallic black and the bodywork on the car is very good and rust free. It is fitted with factory rear boot spoiler and is sitting on the highly desirable 'Gullideckel' alloy wheels, which finish this car off nicely. The car's paintwork is virtually unmarked and in great condition for a 35 year old car.
It's quite rare to come across such a highly specified example, especially with the sought after leather interior, which has been very well looked after. There are no tears, rips or holes in the seats or door cards. The 4 electric windows and sunroof operate without issue, from the push of a button.
Mechanically this car is sound. It starts on the turn of the key every time and is an extremely pleasant drive. As of all my cars, this 190E is dry stored and is regularly maintained and given a run. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and doesn't struggle even at higher motorway speeds.
As stated before, this car is provided with a highly documented service history. This includes; the original service book, a second key, all the MOTs and a vast amount of receipts, which show hundreds spent! Within the original service book, it documents a total of 13 service stamps from Mercedes main dealers!
