Description
First registered 15 September 1928. Vehicle is original with the exception of the seating, which I believe was updated around the 1960s. The overall condition of the vehicle is good and serviceable. There is no rot, however, there are some slight imperfections in the paintwork, but nothing major.
The engine has a cast iron cylinder block and detachable head and a capacity of 1056cc. The car can run on standard unleaded petrol. The tank holds 7 gallons.
The car is finished in Humber Mole with black wings and lamps. The seats are in red. This is a 4 seater Tourer and has the original pram style hood, There is also a tonneau which covers the interior of the car along with a separate tonneau to cover the hood when it is folded down.
This particular car was originally owned by a gentleman who was somewhat of a guru regarding the Humber. The 9/ 20 had a weak point in the axle and many years ago, this gentleman designed a strengthened gear cage that bolted to the crown wheel in the back axle. This is still fitted to the vehicle today. I have owned the car for the last 15 years. "Hannah" as she is affectionately named, was originally going to be used as part of our wedding car business. However, we have since retired and moved away. This vehicle has been dry stored for the past 7 years.
I have quite a bit of history on the car, back to around the early 1950s.
Its a great quirky car to drive and great for those steady sunny afternoon outings.
