I have owned and loved this car for almost 15 years. Rather than than regular maintenance I have sought to make it as good as reasonably possible. Starting with a full respray and wheel refurbishment in 2011. Work carried out by me and specialists include new roof with glass window, engine out timing chain, double row IMS upgrade, clutch, RMS. (£2750)dansk ss rear box, new cats, suspension arms all round, front brake discs, oil cooler, water pump. Very good premium tyres.
MOT to 25/ 3/ 2026 but only done 350 miles since so expect no issues next time.
It would be hard to find a better one all round. But not perfect. The wheels now could do with a refurb, £300 and only one key. You will always have to spend money on a car of this age but I've done thousands of pounds of work to this car. Now a change of circumstances and age require regretful sale to good home hopefully. This is a very rare rain forest green example in almost immaculate condition.
The handling is sublime and you can't beat a convertible in the summer. Still quite a quick car and a lovely driving experience before everything became over servoed and boring.
