Audi TT QS History- Built to celebrate 25 years of the Audi Quattro 4wheel drive system the Quattro Sport is most powerful 4 cylinder turbo engine cars of the TT Mk1 range.
This limited edition (under 800 cars registered in the UK between 2005-06) benefits from a 237 BHP engine and (possibly as importantly) a weight reduction of 75Kg. Keeping everything on the road are larger, limited edition 18 inch offset wheels and tyres combined with uprated springs offering lower sportier suspension. For the enthusiasts, Recaro bucket seats were standard. Coupled with a short ratio gear box and custom ECU software increasing power, it deserves to wear the legendary Sport badge !
Build number #923 is finished in Avus Silver and has the all-important Recaro seats fitted from the factory as standard.

Completely standard apart from the addition of front Brembo 4 pot calipers which should have been fitted by the factory. They were in the early press releases but surprisingly missing from the spec when the QS was finally released. The originals are supplied if the new owner wishes to go back to original spec. But once you drive this car with the Brembo’s I’m sure they will stay. Also #923 has the ColorMFD display (replacing the problematic LED display fitted to the standard car) with full diagnostic capabilities. One of the best optional additions you can have done to a 8N TT MK1
Bodywork is exceptional for age. Really presents superbly well as the photos show. With very few blemishes. The odd stone chip and tiny mark but that’s it really. Arches and front wings are free from rust bubbles that so many have, Roof rail trims have been removed, treated and re painted as all MK1 TT’s surfer from bubbling. She really drives great, pulls nicely as you expect and is a pleasure to sit behind the wheel. These MK1 TT’s are incredible. And what a design!
Health checked at Audi main dealer on purchase by myself and then further health check locally at badger 5 a highly regarded VAG marquee specialist. Which also included an engine health check dyno run, where she produced a healthy 238bhp (237bhp) quoted by Audi factory figures. With no boost leaks or issues. Described as a lovely clean example. All works in my ownership have been with Badger5.
Well over £10, 000 spent on her in the last 5 years, including servicing, repairs, preventative maintenance and cosmetic works. Previous detailed works carried out as follows.
Firstly works carried out by the previous owner in his 4 years of custody.
2020: Nearside rear calliper replaced, at which point new discs and pads were fitted to both sides. Engine Oil Pickup renewed, Pollen Filter, Haldex Service. Wheels refurbished. All minor bodywork blemishes corrected, including the stripping and repainting of the roof rails. Common issue.
2021: Both front suspension springs and top mounts changed. Rear shocks changed. ColorMFD display fitted.
2022: Both front shocks changed. Brand new Brembo 4 pot callipers fitted to the front, what should have been specified by the factory from new. The original refurbished calipers come with the car to maintain originality. New dual mass clutch and slave cylinder. 4 wheel alignment completed. Sills inspected internally and wax oiled, leading and trailing edges treated, and sills resprayed.
2023: New AGM battery. Cambelt, Hydraulic tensioner, Water pump, Thermostat, Temperature sensor, rocker cover gasket, All new bolts replaced. New rear tyres.

Full inspection by Audi Main dealer upon purchase.
Full inspection carried out by Badger5 VAG Specialist. New window micro latch switch drivers side. New brake pressure sensors, brake fluid, O/ S wheel bearing and drive flange, wheel speed sensor, front and rear headlight sensors, haldex earth strap, front brake pads, boost hose clips.
2025
Full service, Oil Filters, Spark plugs etc. New set of correct P4S tyres all round and full chassis set up and alignment. New genuine floor mats. Full clay bar and polish. Engine bay full deep clean, de grease and detail. OEM mounts MagSafe TT genuine dash phone mount.
2026

New oil pressure sender, brake pads (change of material rather than needing replacing. 5 miles since)
As with all 20 year old cars there’s a few minor things that could be approved on. Mostly cosmetic, a couple of bits of interior trim that shows signs of age and light wear. And a very minor exhaust blow from a joint. Which has been inspected and isn’t an issue. And easily resolved. I Purchased QS #923 in 2023 after viewing quite a few examples, some at a much higher price point and half the milage! but this one stood out and presented very well on inspection. History, maintenance, body condition and an excellent test drive. You just know when it’s the right car !
I personally have completed around 2, 000 miles per annum, summer use only bar a winter trip to the MOT station and has been garaged since ownership. A super clean, tidy and well looked after Quattro Sport. A QS club member and enthusiast owned example, with known history for the last 4 owners, invoices for the last 15 years or more. And full service history from new.
She drives superb and still feels tight due to a comprehensive and pro active maintenance program which this example has had.
Overall a great QS, What I call the sweet spot of car ownership! Not too low milage that you worry about driving her too much or too high milage to worry about reliability and mechanical condition and with £10, 000 spent keeping her ‘on the button’ she’s ready to go.
I would personally describe this car as one of the really good ones. A super clean, un molested example and presents extremely well. This car would offer the new owner peace of mind to be able to buy in confidence regarding its detailed history and condition. With no know faults. I am a VW enthusiast with 30 years of owning, loving and looking after VAG cars. Apart from my first MK1 Golf GTI when I was 19 this has to be one of my favourites. Probably the best Quattro Sport available when price, condition and mechanicals are taken into consideration.
Only selling after a throughly enjoyable 2 years of ownership to fund the purchase of an Audi S4 Cabriolet. Time for some V8 audio
One point to note a previous owner took the car to Germany with him when he worked abroad for a while and when he moved back the car returned with him. All listed in the records.
