Description
This is a good example of a Wolf Land Rover Defender 90 produced for the MOD in the 1990's and comes with an excellent Penman trailer
I bought this vehicle in 2020 from Nene Overland and am the first private owner since it left service in the MOD. I have covered approx. 4000 trouble free miles since I bought the vehicle but, only a few miles since it's last MOT which is due for renewal in June 2026
These Land Rovers are far superior to the civilian versions produced in the same era having stronger chassis, disc brakes all round ( ventilated at the front with 4 pot callipers & solid to the rear), roll over cages and numerous other upgrades over and above the civilian ones. This example has the benefit of a Remus upgrade carried out by the MOD which significantly included comprehensive Dinitrol rustproofing of the complete chassis and bulkhead etc. As a result there are no signs of rot
If you are not familiar with these Models then might I suggest a bit of research on the internet would be useful in terms of understanding what they are.
I bought the Penman trailer from Witham (Specialist Vehicles) Ltd in Lincolnshire in April 2022 for £1800 being one of their top grade examples benefitting from a respray and excellent canvas cover with new rope. Again, if you are unfamiliar with these trailers, they are extremely strong and well built with a stainless steel tub and disc brakes. Carrying capacity is approx. 1100Kg. A superb piece of kit which were built for the MOD with no expense spared
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to askSince buying this vehicle I have made some improvements not least of which was the fitting of 235/ 85 16 BF Goodrich All Terrain Tyres which give superior ride and handling qualities compared to the original military Goodyear G90's. It is a pleasure to drive
In August 2024 I treated the vehicle to a complete underbody Lanoguard rustproofing process carried out by Heritage 4x4
