Description
Very nice Mini Marcos MK4 from 1975. This Mini Marcos was built in the Netherlands in 1974/ 1975, and has always been in the hands of true Marcos enthusiasts in the Netherlands.
BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:
As the photos clearly show, this is still a very nice looking Marcos. Painted from new in beautiful signal red. The body is still in very nice condition after all these years. Of course, I've been sprayed again in the past. As a result, there is some overspray on the sunroof rubber, among other things. Of course after all the years there is damage here and there, some blisters and cracks in the paint, but that’s minimal. See the photos for this. Overall, the body is really nice, with a beautiful shiny paint. The body is equipped with lockable hood and trunk lid, this by means of mounted locks. Of course, the doors are also lockable. Of the keys are 2 sets with the car. The sunroof already installed in the 1970s is functional. The sliding windows in the doors are made of plexiglass. With the Marcos there are 2 additional plastic fenders that can possibly be mounted at the front.
TECHNIQUE:
For the technique of this Mini Marcos, the parts of a classic Mini are of course used. In terms of chassis, the steel subframes are front and rear of a Mini, these are in good condition. Of course, the Marcos is equipped with a 1275GT engine, with double su carburetors, electronic ignition, silicone hoses, etc. In 2019 fitted with a completely new clutch. With the engine rebuild, an hours registration counter is built in for the engine. This one has now run 801 hours. The engine gives a nice sound through the thick exhaust pipe, starts nicely, good oil pressure, pulls well, as befits a tuned 1275. The gearbox shifts tight, clutch works well, and steers very tight. As it also belongs to a "mini engine", there is sometimes a drop of oil underneath. Cooling is fine, with extra electric cooling fan. The electric is equipped with a ground lock to turn off the entire circuit. In the dashboard you will find oil pressure, oil temperature, cooling water temperature, amperes, fuel gauge, adjustable tachometer, etc. The brakes are front 10 inch brake discs, rear aluminum brake drums with cooling ribs. The whole is originally on 10 inch rims. At the moment there are beautiful 10 inch GB rims mounted with still good Falken tires. With the Marcos, there are also the original 10-inch steel rims for, for example, long-term storage, an additional alloy GB rim as a spare.
INTERIOR:
The interior is completely executed in black red. As a final adjustment/ improvement, recent bucket seats have been installed in the color scheme of the car. These are equipped with 4 point belts from the Brittax brand. The dashboard and interior trim are made of black skai. There is also a custom-made rear seat that is not mounted now. In the interior, in addition to the mass switch, there is also a fire extinguisher on board for safety.
OTHER INFORMATION:
When registering in the Netherlands, a registration was finally chosen as Coach 1275, brand: “Eigenbouw”. This does not take away the fact that we are really talking about a Mini Marcos MK4, even from the temporary license plate issued for registration in the Netherlands. See the photo for this; T-68-04. And of course the mounted plate of Marcos. The Dutch license plate is completely complete and transferable or exportable. The Marcos also has a valid Dutch inspection (APK) until 21-6-2026. Even all tax vignettes from 1975 are with the Marcos.
What makes this Mini Marcos even more special is that from day 1 the whole story is present. From the invoices of purchase, the paint shop, the license plate issue, Marcos meetings, holidays, etc. In terms of invoices, there are 3 folders with everything with the car. In addition, various vintages of the Marcos club magazine, in which you will undoubtedly come across this Mini Marcos.
This Marcos is located in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. I can also help you with quotes for transport within Europe and taking care of any export documents.
