Rare Ford Model 40 V8 Tudor Sedan 1934 – Sound and original base for restoration or light hot-rod.
Icon of pre-war Ford design: an authentic Tudor Sedan (2 suicide doors) from 1934, powered by the legendary Flathead V8 221 ci (3. 6 L – 85 hp original). Fluid lines, widened shield grille, inclined windscreen – one of Ford’s loveliest years!
Third French owner for over 10 years. Purchased for a personal project, but time ran short. Stored dry, French model with collector’s registration.
Major assets :
Bodywork 100% rust-free – solid structure, original sheet metal in excellent condition for its age (90 years!)
Dark green paint (body) / black wings – elegant combo, authentic patina.
All opening panels, doors, windows, ventilation are in perfect working order.
Partially restored in the 70s, remains fully original (no irreversible modifications)
Front wings: light bodywork/ paint work (dents, cracks and minor cosmetics)
Chrome: windscreen surround pitted/ chrome partially missing (normal), remains solid.
Dashboard modified (speedometer missing), original parts included
Mechanical :
Complete Flathead V8 engine, not seized, starter OK, Stromberg carburettor redone
3-speed gearbox functional in storage
Engine not currently running – likely classic ignition issue (coil, distributor, cables, points – easily repairable by a Flathead specialist)
Mileage unknown (speedometer missing)
Work planned for road use: ignition diagnosis + engine/ gearbox/ brakes/ suspension service, tyres (6x17), headlights, electrical circuit.
