Rover SD1 Vitesse Twin Plenum Manual 3500cc
The Twin Plenum version of the Vitesse, essentially a homologation special, 1 of 500 required to be produced to allow inclusion in Group A racing.
This is an original UK registered right hand drive car, registered in April 1986 on a ‘C’ plate.
This car is in remarkable condition, excellent all around, owned by me since November 2016, so nearly 10 years. The car will hit the 40 year old, historic vehicle road tax status soon.
With a comprehensive service history. (excel spreadsheet and receipts) Work over the period includes a strip and inspection and refresh (where required) of the gearbox bearings/ synchromesh, also a strip and check of the rear axle/ diff. by a local specialist. While the axle was out the underbody at the rear has been cleaned and repainted. New springs and dampers. The air con is not working and has not worked throughout my ownership.
The shell is one of the most solid still around, and complemented on by Ken Clark one of the specialist service providers for these cars.
The car starts and runs well, but may benefit from having the fuel injectors cleaned.
The car is available to view on a vehicle lift, specifically because it so good underneath, and not to be missed. I do have a number of short videos that can be shared via Whats App. along with some additional images that are not in the advert.
The car is located in my dehumidified garage near Towcester Northamptonshire. Please contact me for further details. One of the top specification Rover models with the history of success in the Touring Car racing both UK and European.
This is one of the nicest examples available in this price point.
