A dream to live... a V8 for travel without rushing, but it can run if it wants to... to go out and about all the time or to attend events, starting and returning home, safely.
Automobile recovered in December 2021, stationary since 1991 for unknown reasons. The plates were handed over to the PRA by the heirs of the third and last owner in 1993.
In the early years of use it changed hands twice, subjected over time to administrative holds due to the second owner's financial issues, hence the odometer at discovery showing just over 59, 000 km.
The car is equipped with automatic transmission, air conditioning, four electric windows, central locking, electric sunroof, electric antenna and other period-exclusive accessories.
As for the bodywork, after proper cleaning and inspection it appears sound and overall acceptable: to preserve the vehicle's originality, re-painting was not undertaken; there is a significant dent in the left front wing (wing fender) that may be repaired, there is a scratch on the right rear wing and a dent low on the left-hand door, still limited. Very few rust spots and not penetrating.
The leather interior is intact, cleaned with appropriate products and then preserved with protective products; only the headlining upholstery was redone because it was coming away and deteriorated.
The carpet has been washed, cleaned and sanitised, and is deemed suitable.
The door panels were removed to allow proper maintenance of the power windows and the electric locking and opening systems, now functioning.
The electrical system has been inspected and revised.
Regarding the mechanical side, all fluids, the engine, gearbox and differential have been replaced; a cylinder compression test was positive, so a full engine overhaul was not undertaken.
The gearbox received ordinary maintenance with oil filter replacement.
It was necessary to replace the complete non-functioning distributor and spark plug leads with a new timing setup of the engine.
Replacement of the complete exhaust system from the manifolds onwards.
The panes are intact and the seals have been treated with appropriate silicone products.
The headlights were cleaned and refitted.
The wheels were inspected and repainted according to the period specifications, and the tyres replaced with modern tyres.
The fuel tank was removed and cleaned, the fuel pump and float replaced, and all rubber parts of the fuel system replaced.
Brake pump, power steering pump, brake calipers and replacement of all rubber parts of the braking system were serviced.
Inspection of discs and drums.
The car has been re-registered following an inspection by the MCTC and issued with new plates and documents.
The car is ASI certified, having covered over 1000 km since discovery without reporting any issues.
