A very nice and well optioned top of the range Cherokee XJ Orvis Diesel in remarkable unmolested original condition with less than 80, 000 miles recorded and only 3 previous owners.
This car was sold new by Whitehouse Jeep of Maidstone and first registered on 21/ 04/ 1999. The first owner was a Mr Crouch of Bearsted Maidstone who then sold it to a Mr Ashwood of Barnet who kept it garaged and only used it for fishing trips and family holidays.
Mr Ashwood stopped using the car in 2017 due to health issues and following his death the car passed to his son who left it in the garage until November 2025 when I bought it. Due to the low mileage and being garage kept the car has stayed in amazing condition, there are a few minor blemishes on the paint but these are just stone chips and I cannot find a single dent anywhere, not even car park dings, both sides are arrow straight. The car has the rare optional side steps fitted from new and still bears the original dealer supplied number plates. Due to the car being laid up for so long, I have carried out comprehensive recommissioning at a cost of over £1500 including a new battery, new front and rear wipers, replacement alternator and replacement front antiroll bar links and bushes. The front brake discs, calipers and pads have been replaced along with the rear shoes and wheel cylinders. The front and rear flexi brake hoses have been changed along with most of the metal brake pipes. A full service has also been carried out with all filters changed along with the oil in the engine, gearbox, transfer case and front and rear axles. After all this work the car went straight through the MOT with no advisories and is tested until 19/ 01/ 2027.
Being the Orvis model, the car has a full leather interior with wood trim, all in excellent condition with no splits to the seats. The headlining is like new with none of the sagging that you usually get. All the electrics work as they should, I have 2 keys and the central locking works off one of these but not the other. The only thing that doesn't work at the moment is the electric aerial and I've lost the code for the radio but I will try and sort both of these. All tyres are good and there is a full size spare with a brand new tyre and the optional leather cover over it. There is a factory fitted tow bar and electrics and the original jack and tools are present. The 4 wheel drive system all works correctly without any noise. The car comes with the original leather wallet with handbook and service book with main dealer stamps up to 38, 000 miles and some old MOT's I have had quite a few of these XJ's and this is bodily the best that I've seen in years and has never been welded or resprayed. I am only selling this car as I already have a one owner car of the same colour and can't justify keeping 2.
