Description
1975 Honda CB500 T (Twin)
Custom frame, supsension, handle bars, exhaust, and controls give this bike a nice agressive, cafe racer look. It has had a lot of work done on it, it rides beautifully.
Sadly the bike has been sat for the majority of last year (oil and fuel drained), I have not been able to use it, and with a new family member I don't see myself having the time in the future to ride and enjoy this machine.
Just before placing the ad I have added fuel and oil to the bike, it started without issue.
It has a custom exhaust (previous owner installed), it is loud, definately need ear plugs with this on. But it sound amazing, definately worth vieing just to listen to it.
Solid suspension, the previous owner installed solid springs to the rear of the bike. I have the normal suspension for the bike if you would like to change it back, however I have found the ride to be comfortable enough without, just avoid potholes.
I have changed the kick start lever so this should last you a long time going forward.
The fuel tank and seat have been changed to provide more comfort, with a bigger fuel tank to allow for further range. The seat has been hand made from fibre glass, so can easily be reshaped to your style, by whoever buys it.
The carbs and engine gaskets were all changed about 3 years ago.
Bike enjoys slightly higher revs and sounds amazing whilst doing so.
It can take a few kicks from cold to get going and maintain idle, not something I have been able/ had time to sort but once warm it will maintain idle and start with the first kick.
Throttle is also a little slow to respond when released. Not something I really noticed, it was just mentioned to me when I had it last serviced.
New grips, and a Large box of spares & accessories to go with the bike, a lot from the previous owner some bits I have added. Only one key, always meant to get another cut but never had the time to get around to doing so.
If you are worried about parts, there is a great site where I have been able to source almost everything I need for this bike, davidsilverspares. No affiliation, just thought it might be useful. 12L fuel tank.
Custom quick release seat.
Custom, loud, stubby exhaust.
Kick start.
'Cafe racer' style handle bars and frame.
Large box of spares, parts and accessories.
Oxford Boss alarm disk lock can be provided, if needed.
Registered as Historic; Tax, ULEZ, MOT exempt.
