Here at Fernhurst TVR we are pleased to offer this one-owner, low mileage MK1 Tuscan S, finished in Cooper Green with Butterscotch full hide interior, fitted with air conditioning and a Hydratrak differential.
Often regarded as one of TVR’s most rewarding sports cars, the Tuscan S combines sharp handling with a near 400 bhp straight-six engine, mated to a five-speed transmission and delivering power through a Hydratrak limited-slip differential.
The result is a fast and engaging driving experience that few cars of its era could match—and one that will never be replicated again.
Few MK1 Tuscan S models come to market, largely due to the limited number produced and the fact that owners tend to hold onto them for many years.
This car was supplied new by Dream Machines to the current and only owner and has been garaged throughout its 24-year life. The vehicle saw relatively little use and was laid up in 2012, only occasionally being used and for MOT testing.
The last mileage recorded on the MOT certificates was 13, 323 miles in July 2010. When the car was next presented for testing in 2012, the mileage could not be recorded as the LCD display had become distorted and unreadable.
The owner believes the mileage to be circa 15, 000 miles, although this can only be confirmed by replacing the LCD screen, as the mileage remains stored within the vehicle’s software.
In addition to the owner’s assurance, the condition of the car strongly supports its limited use. The full hide interior presents exceptionally well, with the seat backs and bolsters remaining unmarked. The carpets are excellent along with the carpeting in the boot compartment which is equally well preserved.
The owner confirms the car has never been accident damaged, and the bodywork presents very well overall. The nosecone has been protected with Armourfend, which in some areas has begun to lift slightly.
The paintwork is very good but would benefit from a professional paint correction and detailing. There are a few minor marks which have intentionally not been touched in so the car can be presented honestly and transparently.
The chassis is in excellent condition, with the original powder coating having largely protected it over the years. There are a few small areas of minor surface corrosion but these would only require routine maintenance such as cleaning, treatment and protection.
While the car drives well and has a long MOT, we would recommend that the next owner attends to the following:
• Replacement of the tyres
• Wheel rim refurbishment
• A full 12k service, including a valve clearance check
Engine failures on early Tuscans are well documented; however, this engine has not experienced any issues and has not been rebuilt. The car was serviced by Dream Machines until it was placed into storage in 2012.

All Tuscan models will generally require some level of investment to reach their absolute best, and many examples have had significant sums spent on refurbishment or restoration over the years.
