Description
This is a rare manual car in a very special colour combination comprising of Macadamia and Sand/ Beige extended leather. This is a gen 2 model, with the direct fuel injection engine which has proven to be very reliable, without the bore scoring issues that impact the 996 and 997 gen 1 engines. The car is a one previous owner car, although shows 2 owners on the log book, as the previous owner sadly passed away and his wife transferred ownership to herself for a period of 2 weeks until I had it transferred to me. I have owned it since early 2019.
Specification includes all the usual 997 extras, including sport chrono package (retrofit from Porsche), Porsche sports short shifter, moshammer x-pipe (original centre silencer included), Porsche sports suspension.
Mechanically the car is perfect, there is no other way to summarise it. It has currently covered c. 33, 000 miles, with approx 2-3 k in the last 2 years. It has full Porsche and independent service history- requires a major service this year. All service stamps and brake fluid can be seen on the pictures. I had the last major service carried out by Northway as I lost confidence in the quality of service at Reading Porsche (previous 5 are from Reading Porsche, the supplying dealer). Ray at Northway carried out a comprehensive check over including usual major service parts, and diff oils. All improvement works on the car have been carried out by RPM technik, they installed the suspension, exhaust, chrono pack. The car also had a full geometry set up by them and drives as you’d expect from a properly set up 911 on sports suspension. Almost GT3 like…!
The condition is immaculate. The car has had no secondary paint on any surface - any inspection is welcome. I have a paint gauge but feel free to bring yours. The car has some minor stone chips as you’d expect for the mileage but nothing untoward or off putting. The interior is like new, as you can see from the pictures. The front mats are domestic carpet mats installed to protect the brand new genuine Porsche mats, which have never been treaded on.
I will be very sad to see it go. I have contemplated long and hard on parting with it and I feel the time has come, as I would like to step into turbo or GT3 ownership (997 of course).
