Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Supercar Fest 2026 on Saturday the 16th of May, Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN. The 997-series marked an important evolution of the Porsche 911, blending traditional design cues with improved refinement, usability and driving dynamics. Positioned towards the top of the Carrera range, the 4S features a wider body, four-wheel drive and increased performance, making it one of the most capable and versatile variants of its generation.
This example is powered by the naturally aspirated 3. 8-litre flat-six engine, producing approximately 355bhp and delivering its power to all four wheels through a manual gearbox. The result is a balanced and engaging driving experience, combining the responsiveness of the flat-six with the added security of four-wheel drive.
First registered in 2006, the car was supplied to Director of the London-based interior design firm, Nicholas Haslam, the car subsequently passing to his partner, from whom it was acquired by the current owner in 2016, at which point it had covered just 15, 000 miles in its first ten years. At the time of cataloguing, it had covered fewer than 30, 000 miles, consistent with its overall presentation. It's finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over an Ocean Blue interior, a timeless and well-suited combination for the 997’s clean and purposeful design. Externally, it sits on 19" SportDesign alloy wheels, with the distinctive red brake callipers denoting its ‘S’ specification.
The car benefits from a well-considered selection of factory options, including Porsche Communication Management (PCM) navigation, electric slide/ tilt sunroof, Bose sound system, telephone module, six-disc CD autochanger, multi-function steering wheel and ParkAssist, along with stainless steel door entry guards, rear wiper and factory floor mats. These options amounted to approximately £5, 800 when new, representing a meaningful addition to the car’s original £69, 900 list price and contributing to a refined and well-equipped example.
During the current ownership, the car has been maintained by Porsche specialist Chris Denning of Cardiff, with works including the fitment of new door membranes, new tyres and routine servicing. Further enhancements include the addition of a centre radiator with associated grilles and a lower-temperature thermostat, supporting improved cooling.
It's supplied with the original handbooks, supporting magazines including a feature in Porsche World, and a Porsche Owners Club Certificate of Authenticity.
Increasingly regarded as a modern classic, the 997 Carrera 4S offers an appealing blend of analogue driving character and everyday usability, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking an engaging yet practical Porsche 911.
