1999 TVR Chimaera 400. Owned since February 2010.
A well cared for & very well maintained late model power steering car in Starmist Green with Biscuit half leather the car is completely standard other than a few subtle upgraded parts to improve longevity & appearance. The car is great to drive, makes a great noise & you feel very special behind the wheel. I’m sure I’ll regret letting it go but after 16 years I think the time is right as I have a new retirement project & I can’t justify holding on to them all.
With nothing left to do to do, this car should provide its next owner many years of enjoyable motoring.
The paint work is in excellent overall condition with no osmosis or other reactions having had a repaint by the first owner due to stone chips with minimal chipping or marks since, certainly nothing that detracts from the cars overall appearance.
The interior trim is still in great shape very clean & un marked, there is a couple of small cracks in the walnut veneer which I re-bonded not long after purchasing & have remained in good condition without further deterioration. (You would need to look very closely to notice them)
There is some very slight delaminating on the windscreen (photo attached) this was there when I purchased & has not developed further since.
The car has always been garaged in my ownership & by the previous owner to me. I have only used the car sparingly & never through the winter monthsDocumented TVR Dealer & Specialist service history prior to my purchase at 42, 300 miles. Then completely gone through, carefully improved & maintained by me since purchase. (I am a time served Vehicle Technician & Service Manager having worked for 40 years in the Franchised Dealer Network & a well known OEM Motor Manufacturer prior to retiring a few years ago.)

- Gearbox Tail Shaft Seal,

- All Fuel & Breather Hoses (R9 ethanol resistant) Replaced, (Tank Removed)
- Chassis excellent original condition has just been cleaned / re waxed.
- Yokohama Advan tyres fitted 2025.
Please Note:
I am the 3rd & 4th owner having part exchanged the car with a dealer in July 2023 but after issues with the purchased car & a small claims court case I was able to get the car back & a refund. I have documents to support this. I will appear as the 4th owner on a HPI Check - from the 5th December 2024. The car remained unused in the dealers showroom throughout this period.
