Description
Land Rover Defender 110 Camper – ready to use, off-grid setup, pop-top, solar, fridge
This is a well-used but solid Defender 110 that has been converted into a practical, self-contained camper. It has been used regularly for trips and camping, and everything is set up to be simple and functional rather than over-complicated. Ownership history as per V5 (available to view).
The vehicle is not a show build — it’s an honest, usable camper that’s been developed over time and works as intended. Purchased privately in S England and used since as a practical camper.
The vehicle has been maintained regularly with recent mechanical work carried out including new battery, brakes, exhaust, clutch components and general servicing.
Over £1, 000+ of recent work completed by Bowydd Garage (receipts available). Additional documentation included covering electrical and water systems. MOT valid until October 2026. Passed with expected age-related advisories.

A genuine, ready-to-use camper that has been used and improved over time. Ideal for someone looking for a simple, capable setup rather than a pristine or overbuilt show vehicle. This Defender has been a genuinely useful and well-travelled vehicle rather than a project or showpiece. It was previously owned by a couple who spent years exploring with it, and that sense of purpose remains very much part of what it offers.
I bought it privately after travelling across the country to collect it, and it quickly became my “Plan B” — known simply as B — a vehicle that is always ready to go at short notice. It has been used regularly since, particularly for trips across North Wales, where its simplicity and capability come into their own.
What sets it apart is the combination of that history with a straightforward, well-considered camper setup. The Dormobile pop-top is an unusual design that allows sleeping across the vehicle, and the overall layout reflects practical use rather than cosmetic finish.
My favourite aspect is its readiness. Everything is already in place, so it can be used at any time without preparation — whether for a night away or a longer trip.
It is not a polished example, but an honest and capable one, with character and a clear sense of purpose.
