Description
This three owner MG TA one of the last produced before the start of
WW2 in 1939 has let a very sheltered life until I purchased it in 2012. Although mainly in boxes I was assured everything was complete however I soon found multiple parts were missing. After searching all were sourced and the car now presents and drives extremely well. The original MPJG is very long legged and makes for easy cruising, pulling away in 2nd or 3rd. is not a problem. The engine has had a complete rebuild with white metalling by a well known engineer, as has the gearbox, back axle, and recorked clutch. All electrics overhauled and new loom fitted. The weather equipment is all new and has newer been used. The new interior is red leather. The ash body, wings etc are all new, brakes relined, radiator rebuilt. In fact a nearly new car with all original parts and a dry garage floor. The fuel tank has been lined against the effects of Ethonal fuel. Both tool trays are complete with original tools. A reproduced vehicle manual and parts list are included. A full history file accompanies the vehicle as well as all past invoices. The chassis is straight and has been bead blasted then painted with POR 15. The finished paint is 2k and knocked back to give a beautiful period look. I have purchased a triple m car in need of a complete rebuild and garage space is very limited, and is the only reason for sale. Built 23 January 1939, 1st. Registered 6 April 1939, Body number TA 3063,
Engine number, MPJG 3311, original UK registration number DDF 978.
